Mindset is a crucial lane in my health and fitness philosophy, the Holistic Health Highway. Over my 20 years of working in the health and fitness industry, I have observed what an important focus mindset needs to be when it comes to achieving goals.

If you can train your mind effectively your body will do amazing things. The body will give up early if the mind tells you to. In these articles, we place an emphasis on the way you think and the words you say. These are based on your beliefs (conscious and sub-conscious) about your health and fitness.

Your words and thoughts lead to your actions, which create behaviors and ultimately lead to the lifestyle you live. A “couch potato” lifestyle can often be traced back to fundamental issues with mindset. A fit and active lifestyle usually begins with positive thoughts and words around fitness and health.

The great thing about the mindset category is that very small adjustments can make a huge difference. It can involve a bigger shift in thinking (no pun intended!) than other areas of health but the rewards can be very profound.
